First Thanksgiving With My Sisters

December 1, 2008

Regrettably we don’t have any pictures of Thanksgiving to share with you. However, it was a lovely day filled with good food, good conversation, and extra time for recreation. (I helped Sr. Mary Stephanie in the garden for a while)

This is what the schedule looked like:

Breakfast & Morning Prayer- on your own
Mass-9am
Dinner-Noon
Rosary/Evening Prayer-5pm
Supper/Night Prayer-to follow

We watched a few movies-a Christmas movie and a documentary on St. Pio of Pietrelcina. Both very good, but I’m rather partial to Padre Pio myself.(after all, he is a Franciscan) 🙂

Well, that’s about all I can think of to say about Thanksgiving.

That sounds like a very good Thanksgiving schedule. I worked and got extra money, I think it was worth it.

    Hi Denise,

There was extra time for prayer, spiritual reading, recreation. Although the schedule wasn’t much different than a Saturday here… It was very nice though.

I helped Sister Mary Stephanie remove the morning glories from the trellises and the garden fence.(it was fun) The garden has been done since a little before Thanksgiving. 😦

Hope you have a blessed Advent.

    Sister Veronica 🙂
