Sr. Rose Therese and I just arrived home from a road trip to Kansas for Benedictine College’s Vocation Fair. It was exciting to see so many young men and women discerning God’s will for their lives. The day was filled with Mass, prayers, time for participants to browse the various communities represented, and a panel where students could ask the various religious questions they had regarding their vocations.

While the Vocation Fair was primarily geared toward the students from the college, there were a number of middle and high school students, as well. A few parents brought their young children in order to start exposing them to the religous life at a very early age.

An added joy of the trip was visiting with an old friend from high school, who is now Brother Christopher. Only God could have known that about ten years after we attended the high school prom, we would be at a vocation fair representing our individual religioius communities. God surely does have a sense of humor…

Hi Postulet Elisabeth, I am glad that there is a resurging of young people looking into the vocations. It must be God at work. Thank God. Ann

    Hi Elisabeth…

It is so great to read of your trips to different places. This comment about meeting a friend of yours after ten years is such a wonderful way of the Lord’s leading and gift to you to know that you, as well as your friend, are on the Lord’s path for your lives. How awesome to know that there are so many that are discerning their call to religious life. Praise God! He is a great God!
