New Habits

We received our new habits this past weekend.  This is a part of our efforts to deepen our Franciscans roots.  In the religious life as in the spiritual life we must continually strive to renew and revitalize.  In a later post, I’ll explain the symbolic meaning behind each of the pieces of the habit.

I think I will let the pictures tell the story.

    Hi Sr. Rose Therese, it must be a great joy to get the habits and to see the sisters in them after this. Don’t be shocked by the looks but people will get the hanged of it. Congrats for traditions. Ann Creech

    Dear sisters, Thank you for going to a full length habit with the Franciscan crown and cord. You will be blessed for this movement. You are powerful witnesses for each of us. Everytime we see you in public in the habit you help us renew our own Baptismal voes but as well make us pause and reflect on our own relationship with God. If only more communities did this how much more blessed and happy they would be. God bless each of your
