Sister Judith Ann’s Feast Day Oct. 2010

On October 30 we celebrated Mother M. Frances’ 125th death anniversary and the feast day of our Major Superior, Sister Judith Ann.  After the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we had a special dinner.  In the afternoon Sally Hoerr came to entertain Sister Judith us sisters with her harp music.  (She volunteers at St. Francis Medical Center, playing the harp for the patients and visitors.) Then there was cake and punch followed by the gift opening.  We give the Major Superior our handy work every year on her feast day.  Much of it will go in the Motherhouse Bazaar.

The Bazaar this year is Friday, November 19 from 9am to 5pm and Saturday, November 20 from 9am to 2pm.  All proceeds to go to our mission fund.

Happy Feast Day to Sister Judith Ann! I love seeing what’s going to be at the Bazaar too! The vase with the icon is AMAZING!

The vase is beautiful. I have a feeling it won’t be in the bazaar. 🙂

Hee hee, I thought about that possibility! I’d love to see it up close sometime. Then I’ll say what John says when he doesn’t want to eat something, “Look over there!” or “Go in the other room!” Just kidding, but I would love to see it in person 🙂 Can’t wait for the bazaar and donuts…mmm…

Praise the Lord! I stumbled into your website. I was so happy to see Sister Judith Ann. I visited your Community MANY years ago and Sister Joan came to Atlanta to be here for a Vocation Retreat I put together for young men and women from all over the U. S. in the late 80’s.

Please give my love to the Sisters. I’ll have to “catch up” by reading and devouring your website.

Please keep me in your prayers as I am very sick. I have been on a feeding tube for 3 1/2 years as well as IV’s at home right now. I have a blood clot in my left lung as well as a soft tissue mass in the artery of my lung. They have to dissolve the blood clot before they do a biopsy of the lung. I asked the Lord and Our Lady to let me take the journey with them during Lent. I had to get IV’s but they stuck me 15 times and could not get an IV so they had to use my Jugular vein. I ended up with one on each side and iv’s in both feet before the port. I can’t complain. My prayer was answered. I can’t pity myself, all i have to do is look at my Crucifix. I had pain from a tiny needle. He was nailed to the Cross! I’ve offered my sufferings for vocations to Religious Life. May they be abundant and faithful.

    God Bless You!

    Peggy

      Dear Peggy,
I forwarded your message to both Sister Joan and Sister Judith Ann. I don’t know whether they got back to you. It is hard for them to remember people that long ago when they meet so many people.
We are keeping you in our prayers.
May God bless and heal you.
      Sister Rose Therese
